Dear Friends:
Welcome to the 2012 Michigan District Junior High Youth Gathering! We pray God’s blessings as you consider bringing youth to Ann Arbor in July for an awesome weekend of faith-building, faith-strengthening, and faith-sharing. This event is for youth entering grades 7-9 in the fall, and we hope many will be able to be a part of it.
Our gathering theme is “In His Image” based on Ephesians 5:1-2:
"Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
"The theme of this gathering is so important for young people to hear," said Rev. Galan Walther, Family Life Executive for the Michigan District.
"In a world that is often impersonal and disconnected, leaving youth feeling fearful and alone, God says, 'You are special, you are made in my image, and what's more - you are remade in Jesus' life and death ... In HIS Image.' We hope that our District's Jr. High youth will hear this message for themselves and take it to heart, and then also feel confident to share it with their friends."
All the activities of the gathering – worship, Bible study, music, sectionals, servant events, activities, and interactions – are designed to reinforce this wonderful news.

Everything you need to register your group for the 2012 Michigan District Junior High Youth Gathering is available in the REGISTRATION PACKET. Please read through the information carefully, paying special attention to the Step-by-Step Registration guide. GATHERING COSTS
Early Bird Registration (April 1 – May 10): $115 p/person
Registration (May 11 – June 27): $130 p/person
Late Registration (June 28 – July 27): $150 p/person
The cost of the gathering includes all programming and activities, lodging, meals during the gathering, and a t-shirt!
A non-refundable deposit of $60 per person is due at the time of registration (this will be applied to the final balance). PLEASE NOTE: If taking advantage of the Early Bird pricing, all paperwork and deposit payment must be postmarked by May 10th! Any registrations (including additions to a previously registered group) postmarked between May 11 - June 27 will be charged the $130 registration rate. Registrations postmarked after June 27 will be charged the late registration rate of $150.
Space is limited … so be sure to take advantage of registering early!
GENERAL INFORMATION
Medical Permissions Form (Note: This is a form giving adult leaders permission to seek medical attention for an injured youth. This is not a registration form and should not be turned in to the District office. This form, or your church’s own equivalent, should remain in the possession of the adult leaders at all times during the event.)
