Light From the Tomb: The Resurrection in the Book of Acts

Twice in 1 Corinthians 15, Paul states that our faith rests on the resurrection... So join us for the Michigan District West Pastors’ Conference February 7-8 at when we will bask in the resurrection light of Christ. Our speakers will lead us through five sections in the book of Acts that focus on the resurrection. The schedule will be full, but the tomb will be empty, and that gives us great joy!

Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Gibbs

Jeff Gibbs is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. He is a 1979 M. Div. graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. Gibbs has published articles in several LCMS publications. He is the New Testament editor for The Concordia Commentary: A Theological Exposition of Sacred Scriptures, for which he has published the first two (of three) volumes on Matthew’s Gospel.

Rev. Dr. Dean W. Nadasdy

Dean Nadasdy serves as senior pastor of Woodbury Lutheran Church in Woodbury, Minn. He has served The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as 3rd and 4th Vice President. He writes worship and preaching resources for pastors and has served as Assistant Editor of Concordia Pulpit Resources, presently serving on its Advisory Committee. Nadasdy’s vast literary contributions include study notes for the new Lutheran Study Bible (ESV/CPH) released in 2009.
