Youth ministry events and activities in the Michigan District are centered in Jesus Christ. They seek to provide opportunities for youth to be equipped to utilize their God-given gifts as faithful disciples, as well as support and resource the congregations of the District in their ministry to, with, through and for youth.

Senior High Youth Gathering - June 29-July 2, 2008
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! The Michigan District Senior High Youth Gathering will be held June 29 - July 2, 2008 on Mackinac Island. Under the theme, "Treasure Island" based on Matthew 6:21, the gathering will feature many speakers, musicians, breakout sessions, servant events, and much more. The cost for the event will be $395 per person. Registration materials should be received by congregations the beginning of October with registration opening November 1. Junior High Youth Gathering - Aug. 1-3, 2008 at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. Our theme this year is "Fighting Fire with Fire" based on 2 Timothy 1: 6-7. Rev. William Yonker will be this years primary speaker and music will be done by Swen & Dean. Registration will close on June 10, 2008, unless maximum number is reached before that date. THE SITE FOR THE 2010 NATIONAL LCMS YOUTH GATHERING HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED. The Gathering will take place July 17-21 in New Orleans. The Web site is up and running. Check it out at 2010.lcmsgathering.com It's amazing. You can even ask a New Orleans native what it's like in their home town.
