Qualifications for Admission to the Deacon Training Program
- Qualifications for an "elder" as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:6-9
- A resonable amount of experience as an active Lutheran in an LC-MS congregation
- At least a high school diploma or GED
- A recommendation from the applicant's congregation and proposed supervising pastor
- A willingness to be mentored

Tuition and Registration Information
The cost of each seminar is $200 plus textbooks (when required). The tuition helps to cover the honorarium of the instructor and some of the expenses connected with the administration of the program.
Registration forms are available from the Registrar - Ms. Chris Brown; 810.220.1798 or chrissbrown282@yahoo.com. Registration forms should be accompanied by a check made payable to the "Michigan District - LCMS".
PLEASE NOTE: These seminars may also be taken by persons with no interest in becoming a Deacon. These students will be considered to be persons who are "auditing" the classes. However, all tuition fees will apply.
