The 98th Convention of the Michigan District, LCMS was held June 25-28, 2006 at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. The delegates convened under the theme "Celebrating God's Faithfulness: Redeemed ... Refreshed ... Ready ..." The logo was designed by Linda Ekong and was adapted from the logo of the 2005 LEA Convention. Key Bible text for this theme comes for the book of Philemon particularly verse 4-7, 20.

"I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints ... I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ."

At convention, the delegates had the unique opportunity for celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Michigan District with a special Thank Offering. This Thank Offering will support the Michigan District Endowment Fund which assists the District in future mission plants and provides financial assistance to professional church worker students.
