Synodical Convention meets once every three years.

In preparation for the Synodical Convention scheduled for July 10-17 of this year (2010), ballots for the position of President and Vice-Presidents are due back to Synod by March 10, 2010. The deadline for Convention reports and memorials is March 6, 2010. For more information regarding elections and nominations, please see the Synod website www.lcms.org/convention. Also, two of the nine regional gatherings (one being in Detroit) planned for LCMS convention delegates already have taken place, with more planned for January and February. Continue to pray that congregations will carefully consider nominating candidates for Synodical offices. It is especially critical to work together in love and respect for each other as we follow God's will for His Church.
