Press Release Policy for Michigan District Communications

Press releases and other written requests for publication or publicity will be accepted for consideration to be published in Michigan in Touch, E-bulletin, and Website. The publication of any information is at the complete discretion of the Michigan District.

Items that are accepted for publication in Michigan In Touch will reflect the Ministry Focus (as determined by the Editorial Calendar) of the issue the item is published in or will promote congregation mission and ministry through inclusion in the Regional News pages of the magazine. Advertisement space is available in Michigan in Touch, in accordance with the rate card available from the District office. The Michigan District retains the right to refuse advertising space for any reason.

Congregations, Recognized Service Organizations, and auxiliaries of the church are encouraged to provide mission and ministry news and announcements of upcoming events for consideration of inclusion in the weekly Michigan District E-Bulletin and on the District’s website. Consideration for inclusion will include relevancy to the District at large, timeliness of the information, and the amount of content already in each E-bulletin. The E-bulletin and website are resources for congregations and their leadership and are not intended to be used for the promotion of individual endeavors.
