I Heart Lutheran Schools

The Michigan District LCMS is looking for talented students like you to witness your faith and share your experience about why you love your Lutheran school. Share your video entry with others and support your Lutheran school!

Classroom: A Lutheran school classroom can enter the contest and creatively present why they like their Lutheran school. The classroom with the most “likes” by March 9, 2012 will win $50 to be used towards a class pizza party or an ice cream sundae event. Three prizes will be awarded; one for grades K-5, one for grades 6-8, and one for high school age students.

Teacher Category: Any Lutheran school teacher from a Michigan District Lutheran school can do a video on why they love teaching in a Lutheran school. These videos (two minute maximum) will again be “liked” on Facebook to determine a WINNER. The winning teacher will receive an iPod Shuffle. Deadline for voting is March 9, 2012.

Individual Category: Any individual with a student(s) in a Michigan District Lutheran school - a parent, grandparent, alumni, or congregation member - can do a video (two minutes maximum) with the winning entry to be determined by the most Facebook likes by March 9, 2012. The winning individual entry will receive an iPod Nano.

Family Category: Any family with a student(s) enrolled in a Michigan District Lutheran school may make a two minute video about why they like their Lutheran school. The video with the most “likes” will receive $30 towards a family pizza night. Since adult (parental) participation is required, it is the assumption parents will protect the identification of minor children.

Instructions

1. Download and print out the I Heart Lutheran Schools flyer

2. Make a 1 minute video (with the flyer if you like, not mandatory) about why you love Lutheran schools. Be creative!

3. Upload your video to YouTube.com and tag it iHeartLutheranSchools. (so we can find it)

4. Post your link from YouTube on the http://Facebook.com/LutheranSchools fan page.

5. Tell all your friends to "like" your video on YouTube and the Lutheran Schools Facebook page. The video with the most combined "likes" wins the grand prize. We are also giving away random prizes to everyone who votes and submits a video.
