How To Launch a Parenting Ministry

How to implement their Parent Education curriculum and training resources as a model to develop and launch a parenting ministry in your church and school.

Concordia Center for the Family is joining forces with the Michigan District to offer 3 Family Life Ministry Seminars for churches and schools.

The topic for Seminar #1 will cover how to implement Family Time and Faith Legacy curriculum and training resources to launch home-centered faith forming programming in the local church and school.

These topics will help congregations and schools understand, use, and implement family life education programming and resources on equipping parents as faith shapers, and establishing a parenting and marriage ministry.

*We invite FFPN alumni churches to come to a pre-seminar sessions for FFPN training on Friday, September 29 from 7–9:30 p.m. to go through selected FFPN training on Equipping Parents as Faith Shapers. Cost for the Michigan FFPN #4 Alumni Pre-Seminar is free.

Registration Information: 

$45/ per person OR a group of 4 or more is $35/person

National Center for Biblical Parenting

Dr. Scott Turansky co-founded the National Center for Biblical Parenting, an organization that offers Christian Parenting Conferences and biblical parenting resources for churches and individual parents with Joanne Miller RN, BSN. They also started Biblical Parenting University to provide online biblical training for parents, Sunday school teachers and Christian School teachers. Dr. Turansky and his wife, Carrie, have five children and five grandchildren and live in New Jersey. He works each week with families in his counseling practice and develops resources and solutions for parents that work.

Joanne Miller, RN, BSN

National Center for Biblical Parenting

Joanne Miller, RN, BSN and her husband, Ed, have two grown sons, Dave and Tim, and a delightful granddaughter. Miller has been a pediatric nurse since 1986 and is a public speaker. She is a co-author, with Dr. Turansky, of Parenting is Heart Work, along with several other books on parenting. She delights in helping children change their hearts, not just their behavior.
