Intentionally Living Life in God’s Way

Intentional Interim Ministry - Continuing Education Conference

The goal of this IIM conference is to provide a forum for continued sharpening of pastoral and leadership skills for pastors who serve congregations during the “in-between time”; and to learn new skills relevant to this important ministry in the Church.

Objectives of this Conference:

Participants will:

  • Review and gain new insights into the “intentionality” of pastoral leadership during times of transition with an emphasis of practical applications through shared discussion.
  • Be encouraged to make use of a manageable process for reporting the work of the transition team with the congregation and the District President in preparation for calling a new permanent pastor.
  • Enjoy encouraging, Christ-centered, Word-based fellowship with fellow servants in this unique ministry vocation.

Speaker(s):
Rev. Dr. Todd A. Biermann

Rev. Dr. Todd A. Biermann

Rev. Dr. Todd A. Biermann has been Sr. Pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, MI since 2008.  Prior to that, he served congregations in Parma, OH and Brooklyn Park, MN. Having earned his BA from Concordia College, Seward, NE in 1986 and his MDiv from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1990, Biermann completed his DMin degree at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne in 2012. The focus of his doctoral work was marriage and family relationships as guided by God’s Word.  He and his wife, Heather, have been presenting Marriage in God’s Way seminars since 2006 from Alaska to Paraguay, South America.  Their children, Hannah (age 17) and Micah (age 16), have also accompanied them in teaching how God gives them guidance in their family relationships.  Biermann has recently become an online adjunct professor for Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor, teaching in the Master of Family Life Program. On his blog site, www.LifeinGodsWay.com, Dr. Biermann regularly shares insights on how to live ALL of life’s relationships based on God’s guidance for marriage. This subject, especially as it impacts our Christian witness to the world, is also the focus of his recently published book, “Handing Out Life.”
