How can God’s people be re:stored to living out Christ’s mission, to be re:equipped as the priesthood of ALL believers,  and Pastors be re:engaged so that lives that matter to the Re:deemer can be re:claimed? Register now and plan to join our speakers, Rev. Matthew Popovits (Pastor of Our Savior – New York City) and Rev. A. Trevor Sutton (Author of Being Lutheran – Living the faith you have received, CPH, 2016) as we seek to answer these questions at our next North & East Pastor’s Conference.

Goals & Objectives

The North & East Pastors' Conference is conducted for the spiritual and professional growth of its members.

  • It shall provide means for its members to relate together on a regular basis.
  • Matters pertaining to Christian doctrine and practice, to professional problems, to the proper conduct in office, to private study, to the work of the District and Synod, or to any other professional matter shall receive due attention.
  • The members are to aim to cultivate positive relationships, to be mutually helpful in every way possible, and to encourage, instruct, and admonish one another in a spirit of sincerity and Christian love.  
  • The conference may adopt and submit overtures to the Convention of the Michigan District.

Rev. A. Trevor Sutton is associate pastor at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Meridian Township and Lansing, Mich. He is currently a graduate student in Writing and Rhetoric at Mich. State University. Sutton has a BA from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich., and an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. Sutton is author of Being Lutheran (Concordia Publishing House, 2016) and Why Should I Trust the Bible? (Concordia Publishing House, 2016). He is currently working on a book with Dr. Gene Veith. Sutton lives in Okemos, Mich., with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two daughters.
