Homeschool Co-ops / Micro-schools
Beyond the 130+ Lutheran schools and early childhood centers in our Michigan District, our Education Office also encourages and networks the homeschool co-ops and micro-school efforts across the state. We have a handful of homeschool co-ops in our Lutheran congregations serving the needs of hundreds of students, as well as several micro-schools working in partnership with our traditional Lutheran schools.
Great Start Readiness Program
GSRP is a state-funded Pre-K program run by the licensing office of the state of Michigan. We have close to twenty of our early childhood centers that have a GSRP classroom on their campus. It is a different approach compared to the tuition-based classroom that most of our centers operate. However, it has allowed many of our centers to serve families that otherwise would not be able to afford to send their child to a traditional Pre-K program.
If you have any questions about the education options listed above, please reach out to Travis Grulke, Superintendent of Schools. He would be more than happy to talk and connect you with ministries that have these programs on their campuses.
