A Ministry Specialist (Min. Sp.) is any LCMS church worker (on staff, paid by church) outside of the pastoral office, school staff, or office staff. Ministry Specialists can be called/rostered OR lay workers. They can work full-time or part-time.

MINISTRY SPECIALIST GROUPS (MSG)
We believe that ministry is better together, and we encourage Ministry Specialists to join a Ministry Specialist Group (MSG)—a regular gathering for mutual encouragement, growth, and support.
