Leadership Development

Has God called you to serve as a church worker? If so, we are here to help you answer that call.

Deploys specially trained pastors to serve congregations in an intentional manner during pastoral vacancies. These pastors assist churches in coming to terms with their past and grief, adjusting to leadership changes, looking realistically at their current identity, and preparing to communicate their needs and vision to a newly called pastor.

Ministry Specialists are lay and rostered church workers who serve in a wide variety of roles such as DCEs, DCOs, Worship Directors, Youth Ministers, Worship Arts Ministers, Deaconesses, ...

The mission of Church Worker Care is to enrich the whole-person health of Professional Church Workers, specifically focusing on their emotional, spiritual, physical, financial, and relational well-being. This support is accomplished through advocacy, education, referral assistance, mentoring programs, and access to a confidential Mental Health Case Manager.

The Michigan District has many ministries that care for people of all walks of life, including those with special needs or who are experiencing difficult circumstances. These ministries include Chaplains, Deaf Ministry, Parish Nursing, and Prison Ministry.

The Community Worship Network is a resource for worship arts leaders and musicians within the district.
