Feasting with Jesus

Too often in today’s world, we treat meals in a transactional way, simply as a means of getting fuel into our bodies to move on to the next activity. It can happen to all of us on occasion, but when we do this habitually, something vital, something God-given, gets lost. Meals are a significant way to build and maintain community. In our time together, Rev. Whitby will lead us in reflection in three areas of focus:

• What is going on today for the Church and in our world that challenges our witness of the Gospel.
• Practical ways of reimagining our homes and our tables for Christian hospitality.
• Share how a view of meals in the Scripture, as drawn from his book, can provide a biblical grounding for our meals today.

In support of the Michigan District Critical Targets, specifically Great Compassion Ministry, the North and East Pastors Conference has partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
