Our Synod will meet in convention in just a couple months. Elections. Overtures. Resolutions. Reports. The Michigan District is sending 107 delegates and guests to the Convention.
Please don’t tune out. Engage. Read or watch what is available. Speak up and into the process. Each congregation has two electors. Each circuit has two delegates. Let them know what you think.
Here are two things I think to be true:
The Church is incurably congregational. (Christians need each other in congregational life.)
The Church is incurably “synodical.” (Congregations need like-minded congregations with which to work.)
Let’s work together locally. Let’s be engaged with the Synod. We need one another more than we might think.
