The President’s Office serves as a vital link between the Synod and the District. The District President is the Synod’s representative and is responsible for the ecclesiastical supervision of the District. This includes the filling of vacancies, colloquy requests, supervision of doctrine, and duties around discipline. He also serves as the district representative to Synod affairs.
The Business Office takes care of the day-to-day financial and administrative duties and property management of the District and is also available to guide and assist professional church workers and congregations in their business practices and processes through consultation and resources.
The Communication Department handles all aspects of the Michigan District’s messaging—from the website, social media, podcasts, and YouTube channel to producing official publications like the weekly E-newsletter and Michigan In Touch.
The Michigan District Development Department works to raise awareness and financial support for Michigan District, LCMS Ministries. Support is provided in the areas of general district support, district endowment, Lutheran education, mission and ministry support, conference and training support, leadership development, church worker care, and more.
Experienced District staff deployed as facilitators to strengthen and support local church and school leaders.
