The Michigan District supports Hispanic ministry in Detroit. Rev. Ricardo Granado is called by the District to serve as Missionary Pastor for Hispanic Ministries. He is based at Pan de Vida, Detroit, and under his leadership the congregation has been growing by leaps and bounds. They reach out to the community in several ways, including celebrations that are important in the Hispanic culture such as Father’s Day, Kids’ Day, Mother’s Day, Hispanic Heritage Festival (which had 536 people in attendance in 2024), and Christmas Posadas. They also offer tutoring for the community, blood drives, trunk or treat, VBS, and provide meals at Family of God, Detroit. In 2024, Rev. Granado received an award from the City of Detroit for his involvement with the community.
